Common questions about pressure washing

The chance to provide a homeowner a safe, clean and mold/mildew free home is what gets us up and off to work each day.  Some people have questions, good questions, about what we do and if there are dangers involved (Hint: YES).  So this blog will address some of the common concerns and questions people have about pressure washing.

  1. Do you use chemicals and will they hurt my plants?

This is a good and common question, so we will take some time to address it completely.  The most commonly used component in pressure washing is bleach, and we use bleach – commercial strength.  By itself, commercial bleach is more than sufficient to kill houseplants, grass and ornamentals around a home.  Our pressure washing systems are designed to inject a small amount of bleach into the stream of water, just enough to keep the mold/mildew at bay but not enough to damage plants.   We also follow up with a blast of clean water to spray everything down, minimizing damage.

We are professionals.  We treat your home and plants as if they were our own, so you have little to no fear about the chemicals we use during our cleaning process.

  • Will your equipment damage my home?

Good question.  With our professional grade cleaning equipment, there is a good chance in the hands of someone who has no idea how to use a pressure washer that serious damage can occur.

We are professionals.  We pressure wash for a living.  We have intimate knowledge of our equipment and how to use it properly.  No matter if it is a question of distance, pressure, power and the like, we have the understanding to properly gauge the perfect medium between too much and too little pressure.  Hard to reach areas and difficult spots require a special touch, one that has been honed with years of experience and skill.
